On the Texas Road Warrior's day trip to Edom, Texas, we drove a little outside of town to find the Blueberry Hill Farms on FM 314. A convenient sign points the way to the location
Blueberry Hill Farm was first established in 1982 to grow blueberries and blackberries. The current owners, Chuck & Sheri Arena purchased the farm from the owners at that time Bob & Marilyn Rogers. .
The farm has a country store with lots of fun things to see and buy. Of course fresh blueberries and other products are available. The fresh blueberries were some of the yummiest that The Travelling Toe has ever tasted. And in full disclosure to you Dear Readers, we did purchase the already picked blueberries as we were just not up to picking them ourselves. They also sell a nice variety of their own jams and jellies and the ones we purchased were also yummy. They also sell pastries, coffees and other sweet treats at the store.
The fresh blueberries and blackberries are only available at certain times of the year so if you plan to visit call or visit their web site to ensure that the produce is available.
