The Travelling Toe and several of the Movie Mavens went to the local multiplex to see the new flick "Gifted".

Frank Adler (Chris Evans) is a single man raising a child prodigy - his spirited young niece Mary (Mckenna Grace) - in a coastal town in Florida. Frank's plans for a normal school life for Mary are foiled when the 7-year-old's mathematical abilities come to the attention of Frank's formidable mother, Evelyn (Lindsay Duncan), whose plans for her granddaughter threaten to separate Frank and Mary.
The interaction between the actors (uncle and niece) was very sweet. They had excellent chemistry onscreen and seemed to really enjoy being together. Of course Octavia Spencer was fun in her role as a neighbor and good friend to them both. But one of the best actors in a cast was a one-eyed cat named Fred who stole the show!

We all thought this was a precious movie. A few tears were shed but what a sweet, sweet movie.
The Travelling Toe gives this movie 2 middle toes up with a math book just in case one needs a refresher course.
