"King O'The Moon" presented by Circle Theatre

KING O'THE MOON
play program
What a great way to spend a very warm and humid Texas summer afternoon than going to see a funny and poignant play.  The Circle Theatre never disappoints.  Both The Travelling Toe and Dear Friend enjoyed the Circle's recent production of "King O'The Moon".  The play was written by Tom Dudzick,  It is the second in a series of three plays that he wrote about a family and are set several years apart.  The first play, "Over The Tavern" takes place in 1959.  "King O'Moon" is set in July of 1969.  Part of the play centers around the historic flight and landing of the astronauts on the moon.

All the actors were excellent in their roles.  The Circle Theatre has a rather small stage area for a set designer to with but Clare Floyd DeVries provided a house, a bar, and even a tree house for the actors to use!   We both totally enjoyed this play and the characters in it.  We are looking forward to the next production at the Circle Theatre as we know it will be a fun time!
