Peruvian Gold Ancient Treasures Unearthed

At Irving Arts Center there is a spectacular exhibit presented by the National Geographic Society of Peruvian Gold objects.  First of all the staff is very welcoming as you enter the building and purchasing your ticket.  Senior rate is only $8.00 and the exhibit is certainly worth the money.
Entering the exhibit hall, you step back in time.  The objects on display are just beautiful and amazing.   The workmanship is intricate and brilliant.  Several intact pieces take your breath away.  There is a lot of interesting information to read as you walk through the exhibit.  Also a short video is playing that explains the symbols on a tapestry.  It is at a nice place in the exhibit to sit, watch and rest.  Through out the exhibit tthere are places to sit and just absorb the amazing artifacts around you.  We are indeed very fortunate to have this quality of an exhibit by National Geographic in our area as this is only one of the two stops for this exhibit.  There are some interesting items for sale in the gift shop and was a nice stop on the way out.  Only negative comment was that they had sold out of the exhibition catalogue.  See this exhibit before it leaves!
