The Travelling Toe and 3 companions traveled east of the Trinity to watch the holiday performance of Mannheim Steamroller on Sunday Dec 28th. The group performed at the Music Hall at Fair Park in Dallas. Due to heavy traffic on the freeway, we were late in arriving and they were just beginning the second song "We Three Kings" as we settled into our seats in the balcony. We had a prefect view of the stage and the musicians. The performance was outstanding and they played to a capacity filled auditorium. Their program consisted of Christmas carols along with selections from their "Fresh Aire" collection..The musicians just played one selection after another on a variety of instruments. Mannheim Steamroller has 2 casts out on tour and we saw the "Red" Cast. Jeff Yang on violin and other instruments was outstanding but it would be hard to give praise just to him over any of the other musicians, as they were all exceptional.
Don't miss this holiday musical treat when they are in your area.
