Boeing-Boeing at Theatre Arlington

Theatre Arlington
The Travelling Toe and 3 friends attended the Sunday afternoon performance of Theatre Arlington's very funny production of "Boeing-Boeing".  The comedy was written by French playwright Marc Camoletti.  It had it's premier in Paris Dec 1960.  It is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the most performed French play throughout the world.

The action takes place in Bernard's Paris apartment.  Bernard juggles 3 different air line hostesses in and out of the apartment with the assistance of his housekeeper Bertha and a flight plan.   But with faster Boeing jets and weather delays, Bernard is in for a bumpy night - to say the least.  His friend, Robert, comes to his rescue although without almost having a nervous breakdown himself.

In this production, the stage setting was very clever, the different colors of the airlines uniforms the ladies worked for were beautiful and even had matching tote bags.  All the acting was very good - with English, French, German, Italian and Southern American accents.  So if you want some laughs and have an enjoyable time then go see Boeing-Boeing at Theatre Arlington.  The play is on till February 1st.
