DFW Restaurant List
Each year various restaurants in the Fort Worth and Dallas area, celebrate an event called "Restaurant Week". This event has raised over 8 million dollars to support organizations in the metroplex communities. In Dallas, North Texas Food Bank is the designated charity and for Fort Worth the funds are raised for the Lena Pope Home.
Restaurants prepare and offer diners a prix-fixed menu. The lunch menu is $20.00 while the dinner menu is $39.00 - $49.00. Usually lunch is 2 courses and dinner is 3 courses. Over 130 restaurants participate in this annual event.
Well, The Travelling Toe is all about raising funds for charities as well as enjoying a lunch out at a very upscale restaurant with girlfriends. And that Dear Readers is exactly what we did.
Our restaurant of choice was Capital Grill in Fort Worth.
The Capital Grille Fort Worth
We had a lovely table in the main dining room and our server, Cheryl, was delightful and efficient. Each of us selected our starter and entree from the designated menu. Our lunches were all tasty but the piece de resistance was the dessert course. It was creme brulee with fresh fruit on top. Tablemates had to restrain The Travelling Toe from licking her bowl in front of the other diners.

We agreed it was a lovely lunch and we enjoyed the food and especially the laughter, good time and our friendship.
So Dear Readers, when Restaurant Week returns next year, select a nice restaurant that you might not be able to afford normally and make a reservation for dinner and enjoy an excellent meal, lovely atmosphere and feel good you are helping others...all on a full tummy!
Bon Appetite!!
