Tarrant County College Waterfall

Tarrant County Courthouse

As we were walking towards the Tarrant County Courthouse, we were delighted to see a waterfall right off the busy main street we were walking on. The waterfall is part of the downtown campus of Tarrant County College.

The waterfall runs noth to south through the campus area.  It is 60 feet wide with cascading steps next street over and through the middle of the campus. There is a 20 foot waterfall drop to the 3rd level going to the banks of the Trinity River. The water is captured, recycled using pumps, controls and treatment systems.

As students are walking from class to class the sounds of the waterfall masks the busy street noise as well as providing a bit of triquality for all those who pass by.

We were not able to see the entire waterfall system but The Travelling Toe was able to take a few pictures of the Grand Steps.
